Ultimate Frisbee Team

Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact, self-refereed team sport played with a flying disc (a.k.a. frisbee). The game combines a mix of aspects from football, basketball, soccer, & lacrosse. Teams work together to pass the disc down the field to score points.

Ultimate Frisbee is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. It’s fun to play; exciting to watch; and encourages camaraderie and sportsmanship. Participation is open to anyone who wants to commit themselves to learning the sport with a group of other dedicated athletes. Throwing the disc can & will be taught.

Spirit of the Game

Ultimate Frisbee HS team will meet three times a week for practice. Practices will focus on the fundamentals also including fun games & drills. We will schedule games/scrimmages against other area teams and possibly enter a fall tournament. The goal is to grow the team to compete in the Minnesota UF Youth League. Those joining this year have the opportunity to help set & lead the foundation for the program as it moves forward.

Equipment:

• Rubber & molded cleats, turf shoes, or running shoes may be worn. (Football or Soccer Cleats - Best) No metal cleats.
• Hydration Bottle

Transportation:

• A bus is available from Westwood to SLP HS for middle school students.
• A bus is available from SLP HS to the Centerview/NSC Fields.

August practices are optional & will be warm up for the season.

Open to all students grades 7-12 (league is co-ed)
