SLP Clay Targets Team Gr 7-12Athletics, Sports, RecreationThe Spring 2026 season will start 3/4/2026 with a MANDATORY Team Information / Safety meeting. Registration fees will include 8 weeks of shooting. There may be a couple late optional practices with the fees not included in this registration - details will be available on our team website. Who: Any Spring Lake Park School District male or female student, grades 7-12, who possesses a State Firearm Training Certificate AND meets all school curricular eligibility requirements. Also, to be eligible to participate on the Spring Lake Park Clay Target Team, you must meet one of the two following requirements: 1. Be attending the Spring Lake Park High School or Westwood Middle School. OR 2. The school you are attending does not have a Clay Target Team AND your home address is within the Spring Lake Park School District 16 boundary. Dates: This year we will be shooting over three evenings at two different ranges. Tuesdays will be Skeet at Metro Gun Club in Blaine. Wednesdays will be Trap at Metro Gun Club in Blaine. Thursdays will be Sporting Clays at Forest Lake Sportsmen's Club in Forest Lake. Depending on enrollments, our approximate start times will be 6:00 for Trap and Skeet and 5:30 for Sporting Clays. These times can be adjusted slightly, especially early in the season as daylight hours are shorter. Once you get through the team registration, you will be added to our roster with the USA Clay Target League. Once you are added you will receive an email from USA Clay Target with a link to register. This registration also needs to be completed before participating. The fee for this league portion of the registration will be $40 per discipline - trap, skeet, sporting clays. Mandatory Team Info Meeting: The team information / safety meeting will be held on 3/4/2026. Attending this meeting is MANDATORY for all athletes. Parent Volunteer Requirements: Metro will once again be requiring that we have adult volunteers score and pull for our athletes. Watch for a sign-up form to sign up for a time to pull and score. If every family supplies one parent for one day, we should have the season covered. There will be a signup form shared soon for you to sign up for any day throughout our season. When you sign up you will be the puller and scorer for a designated field for the entire evening. Please be prepared for any weather situation. Training will be provided on your designated evening. Rates Overall: The registration cost of each sport is: Trap: $65 ($60 range fee plus small processing fee) Skeet: $65 ($60 range fee plus small processing fee) Sporting Clays: $65 ($60 range fee plus small processing fee) * There is also a team fee of $25. Every athlete will pay this one time regardless of the number of disciplines they participate in - make sure to add this to your cart when registering ** The cost of ammo is NOT included with this registration. Starting SoonSLP Fishing Team 2025-26Athletics, Sports, RecreationIf you enjoy competitive Bass fishing, come learn and compete with us! This is a Bassmaster and SATT (Student Angler Tournament Trail) affiliated program for high school students entering grades 9-12 in spring 2026. Classroom education starts in Jan 2026, meeting every other Tuesday, classroom education attendance is required to fish any tournaments. Tournaments start in June 2026; the last tournament is in Sept 2026. Bassnation: 1 Fish-In 3 Conference Tournaments, State Tournament SATT: Up to 7 tournaments, Anglers choice Student Angler Org / Virtual Lund Series: Up to 6 tournaments, Anglers choice Non-Tournament Participants – Sign up and receive the benefit of all the education without the tournament participation. This is open to any student in the district in grades 7-12. Tournament Participants – Anglers will need to have their own rods, reels, tackle, boat and a Captain over 18 years of age. You will be required to hold an annual Bassmaster’s youth membership and/or TBF Membership for SATT.
