Basketball - Boys Summer Skills Academy 2026
Skills Academy attendees will work on individual and team fundamentals of offensive and defensive basketball with the emphasis on having fun and improving as a player. The offensive skills that will be drilled include ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting form, shooting off the pass and the dribble, free throws, one on one moves, post moves, moving without the ball, reading screens, finishing drives and finishing on the fast break. Defensive footwork and positioning also be focused on. Weekly contests and 5 on 5 competition will take place on Thursdays. Staffed by SLPHS basketball coaching staff as well as current and former players. -
Boys Volleyball Spring League Gr 7-8
7th and 8th Grade Boys Volleyball Team Practice will be Mon/Wed from 2:30-4:30 pm and Tues/Thurs from 4:30-6 pm (no Wed practice once games start) Games will be Wednesdays nights in April 29, May 6, 13, 20 at Shakopee HS Team will also complete in the Eagan HS Tournament on May 9 -

Safeway offers teen driver's education in cooperation with Spring Lake Park Schools Community Education. Driver's education classes will be offered in person at Spring Lake Park High School (SLPHS). Teen Package: 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training Classes take place at SLPHS Classes are after school 3:15 - 6:15 pm Classes offered each month for 10 consecutive days (Mondays - Thursdays, class does not meet on Fridays) Student must be present for the entire class and attend all 10 classes to get their blue card (allows student to take permit test at a DMV location) Pricing for Teen Package: $415 full price (payment plan available) Payment plan consists of: $235 due when registering for the class through Spring Lake Park Schools Community Education $90 payable at the first behind-the-wheel lesson* $90 payable at the second behind-the-wheel lesson* *Cash or check payable to Safeway Driving School. Emergency Outfitters - Babysitting 101
This course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. -
Emergency Outfitters - F.A.S.T. KIDS - Staying Safe While at Home Alone Ages 7-10
First Aid and Safety Trained Kids is a 4-hour course for 7 – 10 year-olds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger, and internet safety. Students will receive a book, handouts, and a home first aid kit as part of the class. -
Football Mini-Camp Gr 9-12
Mini Camp is the Football Camp for all players planning to be in our High School Football Program in the fall of 2026. Participants will work with SLP Coaches on fundamentals, techniques and schemes. Players must also register for Panther Strength and Speed Camp. The Mini Camp Schedule is subject to change, there is the possibility of a joint practice or two. Details will be communicated ASAP if changes are necessary. -

Donate a lesson here Instructor: Chris Allen is a musician and educator based in White Bear Lake, MN. Primarily playing bass and tenor trombones, but also alto trombone, euphonium, and tuba on occasion. He currently performs regularly with The Paper Clips, Mankato Symphony, Century Jazz Ensemble, and Star of the North Jazz Orchestra. Chris holds an undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College where he studied with Scott Moore and Larry Zimmerman, and studied at the graduate level at the University of Minnesota with Thomas Ashworth. He has taken additional lessons with Andy Chappell (MN Orch), Douglas Wright (MN Orch), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (Canadian Brass), Michael Levine (Dallas Brass), and Henry Charles Smith III. Donate a lesson here Percussion Lessons: Instructor: Ryan Borden is a percussionist/drummer and educator based in Minneapolis. As an active scholastic and studio instructor, Ryan focuses on well-rounded musicianship and versatility as a percussionist; multi-faceted development of technique; sonic awareness and sound production; and self-assessment. Ryan formerly held the position of principal percussionist with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, and other orchestral credits include the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Enid Symphony Orchestra, and the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, among others. Also a passionate community educator, he has experience facilitating collective drumming ensembles all over the United States. Ryan currently works at Augsburg University as the coordinator for the Schwartz School of the Arts, as well as a studio artist in the percussion area. He performs as a section percussionist with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra. Ryan received his Bachelor of Music in performance from Illinois State University and his Master of Music in performance from the University of Missouri. She was a public-school band director in Sioux Falls before moving to the Twin Cities, where she has been teaching private lessons for 25 years. Kristi enjoys teaching all levels of musicians, customizing the lesson to the student through practical methods and different musical genres. While learning the intricacies of playing an instrument, and interpreting written music, Kristi focuses on the joy of playing and the fulfillment of achieving progress. Many of her students have been members of Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony, Minnesota Youth Symphony, Minnesota All-State Band, and various honor bands. Alexandra graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education. She is passionate about fostering lifelong musicianship, community, and belonging through accessible and joyful music-making experiences. SPARK Winter Session GR3/4
The After School SPARK program is designed to engage students in Grades 3-4 in no-cost, high-interest enrichment programming that provides opportunities for students to further develop their talents and spark new interests and passions. In this 3-week session, students will register for 1 class each day based on their interests. Students will attend that same class for 3 sessions. Only register for one class per day. Both Tuesdays and Thursdays: AKA Sports: Basketball Skills (If you register for this class, you will attend all 6 sessions) Improve fitness and coordination with the AKA Basketball Development and Games program. Students will work on court dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive awareness. Each class includes specific skill development and "3 on 3" games so that each player gets game experience. Classes taught by AKASPORT instructors. Tuesdays 2/17, 2/24, 3/3: Youth Enrichment League: Bricktopia LEGO Catapults Explore engineering with Bricktopia's Catapults class! Build a catapult, dragster, and scale with LEGO bricks, and challenge yourself to problem-solve and innovate. Microwave Munchies with Mrs. Wilson Students will make food creations that require little to no cooking. Gain the confidence to make a snack or small meal for yourself with just a microwave! Students will learn basic kitchen safety and cooking skills. Wednesdays 2/18, 2/25, 3/4: Soccer Skills Camp with Mrs. Knutson Whether you are trying soccer for the first time or wanting to improve your skills, this camp is perfect for you! Students will work on individual ball mastery, passing, and small-sided soccer games. Thursdays 2/19, 2/26, 3/5: Rum River Art Center: Animal Painting Portraits Have you ever wanted to be a bird? Or a cat, dog, or bunny? In this class, you’ll learn to use acrylic paint on canvas to paint yourself as your favorite animal! Using your own features and favorite things about yourself, you get to create any animal you think best represents you and your personality. At the end of this class, students will have fun, imaginative portraits portraying them as animals! Dancing Around the World with Mrs. Wilson Students will be immersed in the culture of different countries by learning special dances from places all over the world! Learn the history and importance of each dance, then practice the steps to perform it. A snack will be provided at the start of programming each day by Nutrition Services. Busing transportation is available to all students for pick up. -
Scratch Game Coding with CSGA Gr 5-8
This program offers a crash course in coding your own games with Scratch. Students will create and develop 2-3 basic games while learning many foundational computer science skills with boundless potential for creativity and expansion. -
Soccer - Girls Summer Skills Academy 2026
This Academy is for girls soccer players entering 7th-12th grades. We will focus on fundamental individual soccer skills: mainly dribbling ball mastery, along with passing, receiving, and shooting accurately. If you plan to try out for high school soccer this fall, or in future years, and you are NOT practicing with a team this summer, this opportunity is encouraged. *Ideally, also sign up for Panther Strength and Speed Camp directly following the Soccer Academy. *50% off scholarships available for students who qualify for Educational Benefits -
Strength and Speed Camp Gr 6-12
Panther Strength & Speed Camp PANTHER WEIGHT ROOM Summer Strength & Speed Camp is the camp for anyone looking to get stronger and faster this summer. Participants will train 3 days a week with SLP coaches. Our program is designed for any athlete to improve agility, speed and strength. Coaching Staff includes; John Stewart – SLP Teacher, Head Football Coach & Weight Room Coordinator; Doug Potthoff – SLP Teacher, Football & Track Coach; Sara Hale – SLP Teacher, Cross Country Assistant & Co-Head Track Coach; Daulton Olinger – SLP Teacher, Football & Track Coach. Other SLP coaches will join our staff throughout the summer. Session 1 – 7 am – 8 (Any student grades 9-12) Session 2 – 8 am – 9 (Any student grades 9-12) Session 3 – 9 am – 10 (Any student Gr 9-12) Session 4 – 10 am – 11 (Females 6-12) Session 5 – 11 am – 12 (any student grades 6-8) No Camp July 6-10 -
Westwood - OST Music - Jazz Band 6
Jazz Band 6 Jazz Band 6 plays jazz music styles that range from rock to swing. All band instruments are welcome to play, and students must be enrolled in Westwood’s 6th grade curricular band program to participate. In addition to instruments within the band, those that study guitar, bass, and piano are welcome to join. Jazz Band and Drumline will all end in May 6 with the Jazz Cafe at Westwood!
