College Application Boot Camp 2026 Gr 12
College Application Bootcamp is for all seniors who plan to attend a tech school, 2-year or 4-year college after high school graduation. Day 1 of bootcamp is also for anyone who is simply just undecided about their plans at this time. This camp is for all seniors but directed to those who have questions about applying to college and would like one-on-one help from counselors and other admissions professionals. Register for each session/day you would like to attend. Tuesday, August 4: College Boot Camp for Beginners - 9 am - 2 pm Are you a senior and still undecided about what to do after high school? This day is for you! Explore your career interests, learn about training or degrees needed, find the colleges that fit and plan out your timeline for applying. Weather college, tech school, direct to work or Military, we will help you choose your path for the future and get you started with what you need to do this year to get there. Dance Team Summer Camps 2026 Gr 6-12
Intensive Camps - This dance workshop is intended for any dancer (going into grades 6-12). The dancers will focus on dance technique and skills, team workouts, and learn various combinations and short routines.Choreography Camps - Dancers will have the opportunity to learn how to create a routine, go through MSHSL rules, and contribute towards the winter season program. Safeway offers teen driver's education in cooperation with Spring Lake Park Schools Community Education. Driver's education classes will be offered in person at Spring Lake Park High School (SLPHS). Teen Package: 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training Classes take place at SLPHS Classes offered each month for 10 consecutive days (Mondays - Thursdays, class does not meet on Fridays) Student must be present for the entire class and attend all 10 classes to get their blue card (allows student to take permit test at a DMV location) Pricing for Teen Package: $415 full price (payment plan available) Payment plan consists of: $235 due when registering for the class through Spring Lake Park Schools Community Education $90 payable at the first behind-the-wheel lesson* $90 payable at the second behind-the-wheel lesson* *Cash or check payable to Safeway Driving School. Emergency Outfitters - F.A.S.T. KIDS - Staying Safe While at Home Alone Ages 7-10
First Aid and Safety Trained Kids is a 4-hour course for 7 – 10 year-olds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger, and internet safety. Students will receive a book, handouts, and a home first aid kit as part of the class. -
Football Youth Camp Gr k-8 2026
The Panther Football Youth Camp is a partnership between Spring Lake Park Community Education and Spring Lake Park Youth Football to offer a FREE three-day non-contact camp with instruction in all phases of football. Offensive and defensive instruction will include technique play for interior linemen, linebackers, offensive backs, and defensive backs. A specialty unit with emphasis on the kicking game will also be highlighted. 6/23 & 7/14 - Give football a try, learn skills with our high school football players and coaches. Representatives from Panther Youth Football with be there to answer questions and help with registration for the 2026 season. 7/28 - Panther Youth Football Player Evaluation Night - youth registered toplay in 2026 will go through drills with our high school players and coaches to assist in team formation. Players should already be registered to play Panther Youth Football in the fall of 2026 -
GoSolar! Kidz: Growing and Cooking with the Sun
The sun is your best friend if you know how to use it! This class teaches how to cook with just the sun. Solar cooking bypasses traditional cooking means. No electricity, gas, charcoal, or wood needed for solar cooking. Students will learn how to cook meals, dry food for preservation, and purify water all with the sun. In the end, students will build their own mini sun oven and take home an edible micro green plant. -
Kinder Camp 2026
Kinder Camp is a free opportunity for students entering kindergarten. Over three half-day mornings August 18-20, your new kindergartner gets to practice coming to school. Students tour and get to know their school building, engage in fun activities and get introduced to general routines and expectations. KinderCamp is taught by teachers, and students meet and get to know various school staff each day. Kinder Camp is completely free and transportation is available. Please plan to participate and register by July 24, 2026. Don’t miss this opportunity to ease any anxiety your child might have starting school and help build confidence for the first day of Kindergarten. New Stages workshop Ever wondered what it’s like to act, write, or direct for the stage? Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a total beginner, the New Stages workshop is your chance to build an original production from the ground up. Over the course of a week, you and your peers will write a short script, rehearse the production, and explore the artistic elements of theater. SLPHS and SLP Community Ed are proud to partner in the support of private music lessons. Lessons are $30 per half an hour, offered by the month in a "pack" of lessons payable in one fee. All lessons will be held in the SLPHS Music Suite. Financial support is available for students who qualify for Educational Benefits. Donate a lesson here Instructor: Chris Allen is a musician and educator based in White Bear Lake, MN. Primarily playing bass and tenor trombones, but also alto trombone, euphonium, and tuba on occasion. He currently performs regularly with The Paper Clips, Mankato Symphony, Century Jazz Ensemble, and Star of the North Jazz Orchestra. Chris holds an undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College where he studied with Scott Moore and Larry Zimmerman, and studied at the graduate level at the University of Minnesota with Thomas Ashworth. He has taken additional lessons with Andy Chappell (MN Orch), Douglas Wright (MN Orch), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (Canadian Brass), Michael Levine (Dallas Brass), and Henry Charles Smith III. Schedule: Please select which open lesson schedule you would like. Donate a Lesson Here Saxophone/Clarinet Lessons: Instructor: Kristi Tharp Kristi Tharp holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. She was a public-school band director in Sioux Falls before moving to the Twin Cities, where she has been teaching private lessons for 25 years. Kristi enjoys teaching all levels of musicians, customizing the lesson to the student through practical methods and different musical genres. While learning the intricacies of playing an instrument, and interpreting written music, Kristi focuses on the joy of playing and the fulfillment of achieving progress. Many of her students have been members of Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony, Minnesota Youth Symphony, Minnesota All-State Band, and various honor bands. Summer Drumline Camp 2026 Gr 8-9
Grab your sticks and join for a week of drum line! By the end of the session you’ll have built fundamental technique and control of basic rudiments; worked through a handful of warm up exercises and cadences; tried out the different marching drums; and learned to listen in and play together. -
Volleyball - Girls Camp 2026
Grades 3-6: This camp is designed to teach young players the basic skills used in volleyball. We will cover all the primary skills and put the players in playing situations so that they can use the skills they are learning. They will get lots of reps and will have fun as they learn skills and play together! Players should wear a t-shirt, spandex or loose shorts, knee pads, volleyball shoes or other athletic shoes and bring a water bottle. Grades 7-12: This camp is designed to be a high rep and fast paced camp! It is for players going into grades 7-12 who have beginner or advanced volleyball skills and knowledge. We will focus on the development of all volleyball skills throughout the week. Players will also get an opportunity to work on a specific position that they are interested in focusing on. Along with skill work, the players will get lots of playing opportunities each day that will prepare them for fall season! Players should wear a t-shirt, spandex, knee pads, volleyball shoes and bring a water bottle. -

7th and 8th Grade Volleyball Teams Practice is everyday after-school until 4:30 pm Games will be Tuesday and Thursday starting approximately the third week of the season and may go as late as 5:30 pm.
