Basketball - Boys Summer Skills Academy 2026Athletics, Sports, RecreationSkills Academy attendees will work on individual and team fundamentals of offensive and defensive basketball with the emphasis on having fun and improving as a player. The offensive skills that will be drilled include ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting form, shooting off the pass and the dribble, free throws, one on one moves, post moves, moving without the ball, reading screens, finishing drives and finishing on the fast break. Defensive footwork and positioning also be focused on. Weekly contests and 5 on 5 competition will take place on Thursdays. College Application Boot Camp 2026 Gr 12Hobbies, Life Skills, CultureCollege Application Bootcamp is for all seniors who plan to attend a tech school, 2-year or 4-year college after high school graduation. Day 1 of bootcamp is also for anyone who is simply just undecided about their plans at this time. This camp is for all seniors but directed to those who have questions about applying to college and would like one-on-one help from counselors and other admissions professionals. Register for each session/day you would like to attend. Tuesday, August 4: College Boot Camp for Beginners - 9 am - 2 pm Are you a senior and still undecided about what to do after high school? This day is for you! Explore your career interests, learn about training or degrees needed, find the colleges that fit and plan out your timeline for applying. Driver's education classes will be offered in person at Spring Lake Park High School (SLPHS). This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger, and internet safety. FullFamily Fishing ClinicFamily ActivitiesFishing in Your Neighborhood: Family Fishing Clinic Join the MN DNR’s Fishing in the Neighborhood (FiN) program for a fun, family-friendly evening of fishing! Designed for ages 5 and up, each youth must be accompanied by an adult. No experience or equipment is needed—we’ve got you covered! Rain or shine, come dressed for the weather and enjoy a great outdoor adventure close to home. This program will take place at the Lakeside Lions Park fishing pier. Football Youth Camp Gr k-8 2026Athletics, Sports, RecreationThe Panther Football Youth Camp is a partnership between Spring Lake Park Community Education and Spring Lake Park Youth Football to offer a FREE three-day non-contact camp with instruction in all phases of football. Offensive and defensive instruction will include technique play for interior linemen, linebackers, offensive backs, and defensive backs. A specialty unit with emphasis on the kicking game will also be highlighted. 6/23 & 7/14 - Give football a try, learn skills with our high school football players and coaches. Kinder Camp 2026Hobbies, Life Skills, CultureKinder Camp is a free opportunity for students entering kindergarten. Over three half-day mornings August 18-20, your new kindergartner gets to practice coming to school. Students tour and get to know their school building, engage in fun activities and get introduced to general routines and expectations. KinderCamp is taught by teachers, and students meet and get to know various school staff each day. Kinder Camp is completely free and transportation is available.
