OEC OptionsThe 2025 OEC Fall Camp Workshop is FULL. You may register, but you will be placed on the waiting list and we will contact you if an opening occurs. You will not be charged or confirmed unless we contact you. The 2025-2026 OEC Camp Workshop will be held at Camp Wapogasset in Amery, WI. Fall 2025 camp runs from Thursday, October 30 - Monday, November 3, 2025. Preschoolers and Parents 2025-26Full Year classCome join this class if your child isn’t quite ready for regular preschool. This class, with both parent-child time and parent discussion time, will begin the school year as a typical ECFE class on the first day of the week. Starting in November a second day of class (children only) will be added on Wednesdays. Monthly tuition is prorated for the entire school year. Financial support is available for students who qualify for Educational Benefits. Donate a lesson here Instructor: Chris Allen is a musician and educator based in White Bear Lake, MN. Primarily playing bass and tenor trombones, but also alto trombone, euphonium, and tuba on occasion. He currently performs regularly with The Paper Clips, Mankato Symphony, Century Jazz Ensemble, and Star of the North Jazz Orchestra. Chris holds an undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College where he studied with Scott Moore and Larry Zimmerman, and studied at the graduate level at the University of Minnesota with Thomas Ashworth. He has taken additional lessons with Andy Chappell (MN Orch), Douglas Wright (MN Orch), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (Canadian Brass), Michael Levine (Dallas Brass), and Henry Charles Smith III. Donate a lesson here Percussion Lessons: Instructor: Ryan Borden is a percussionist/drummer and educator based in Minneapolis. As an active scholastic and studio instructor, Ryan focuses on well-rounded musicianship and versatility as a percussionist; multi-faceted development of technique; sonic awareness and sound production; and self-assessment. Ryan formerly held the position of principal percussionist with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, and other orchestral credits include the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Enid Symphony Orchestra, and the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, among others. Also a passionate community educator, he has experience facilitating collective drumming ensembles all over the United States. Ryan currently works at Augsburg University as the coordinator for the Schwartz School of the Arts, as well as a studio artist in the percussion area. He performs as a section percussionist with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra. Ryan received his Bachelor of Music in performance from Illinois State University and his Master of Music in performance from the University of Missouri. She was a public-school band director in Sioux Falls before moving to the Twin Cities, where she has been teaching private lessons for 25 years. Kristi enjoys teaching all levels of musicians, customizing the lesson to the student through practical methods and different musical genres. While learning the intricacies of playing an instrument, and interpreting written music, Kristi focuses on the joy of playing and the fulfillment of achieving progress. Many of her students have been members of Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony, Minnesota Youth Symphony, Minnesota All-State Band, and various honor bands. SPARK Winter Session GR3/4Hobbies, Life Skills, CultureThe After School SPARK program is designed to engage students in Grades 3-4 in no-cost, high-interest enrichment programming that provides opportunities for students to further develop their talents and spark new interests and passions. In this 3-week session, students will register for 1 class each day based on their interests. Students will attend that same class for 3 sessions. Only register for one class per day. Both Tuesdays and Thursdays: AKA Sports: Basketball Skills (If you register for this class, you will attend all 6 sessions) Improve fitness and coordination with the AKA Basketball Development and Games program. Students will work on court dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive awareness. Each class includes specific skill development and "3 on 3" games so that each player gets game experience. Classes taught by AKASPORT instructors. Tuesdays 2/17, 2/24, 3/3: Youth Enrichment League: Bricktopia LEGO Catapults Explore engineering with Bricktopia's Catapults class! Build a catapult, dragster, and scale with LEGO bricks, and challenge yourself to problem-solve and innovate. Microwave Munchies with Mrs. Wilson Students will make food creations that require little to no cooking. Gain the confidence to make a snack or small meal for yourself with just a microwave! Students will learn basic kitchen safety and cooking skills. Wednesdays 2/18, 2/25, 3/4: Soccer Skills Camp with Mrs. Knutson Whether you are trying soccer for the first time or wanting to improve your skills, this camp is perfect for you! Students will work on individual ball mastery, passing, and small-sided soccer games. Thursdays 2/19, 2/26, 3/5: Rum River Art Center: Animal Painting Portraits Have you ever wanted to be a bird? Or a cat, dog, or bunny? In this class, you’ll learn to use acrylic paint on canvas to paint yourself as your favorite animal! Using your own features and favorite things about yourself, you get to create any animal you think best represents you and your personality. At the end of this class, students will have fun, imaginative portraits portraying them as animals! Dancing Around the World with Mrs. Wilson Students will be immersed in the culture of different countries by learning special dances from places all over the world! Learn the history and importance of each dance, then practice the steps to perform it. A snack will be provided at the start of programming each day by Nutrition Services. Strength and Speed Camp Gr 6-12Athletics, Sports, RecreationPanther Strength & Speed Camp PANTHER WEIGHT ROOM Summer Strength & Speed Camp is the camp for anyone looking to get stronger and faster this summer. Participants will train 3 days a week with SLP coaches. Our program is designed for any athlete to improve agility, speed and strength. Coaching Staff includes; John Stewart – SLP Teacher, Head Football Coach & Weight Room Coordinator; Doug Potthoff – SLP Teacher, Football & Track Coach; Sara Hale – SLP Teacher, Cross Country Assistant & Co-Head Track Coach; Daulton Olinger – SLP Teacher, Football & Track Coach.
