Basketball - Boys Summer Skills Academy 2026Athletics, Sports, RecreationSkills Academy attendees will work on individual and team fundamentals of offensive and defensive basketball with the emphasis on having fun and improving as a player. The offensive skills that will be drilled include ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting form, shooting off the pass and the dribble, free throws, one on one moves, post moves, moving without the ball, reading screens, finishing drives and finishing on the fast break. Defensive footwork and positioning also be focused on. Weekly contests and 5 on 5 competition will take place on Thursdays. Centerview ElementaryLearning Ventures Child CareSummer 2026 and School Year 2026-2027 Registration opened for families on March 2, 2026 at 8:30 am. Children must be in Grades K-6 (SY 2025-2026) to register for Learning Ventures. Families who are currently in the Learning Ventures program will have priority until March 16 to be confirmed in the program. Families may still register for the current 2025-2026 school year program. Learning Ventures Child Care programs provide high quality services that will grow with your child from kindergarten through sixth grade. Our programs provide child care before- and after-school from 6:30 am - 6 pm, at each of the Elementary Schools in the Spring Lake Park School District, with options on most Non-School Days and Summer. Learning Ventures offers flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of your family! Registration Fee: A $25 registration fee is required when your contract is approved and is non-refundable. Summer 2026 - A non-refundable deposit will be required at registration in the amount of $150 for each child approved in the Summer program. School Year Program - A non-refundable deposit will be required at registration in the amount of $100 for each child approved in the School Year program. College Application Boot Camp 2026 Gr 12Hobbies, Life Skills, CultureCollege Application Bootcamp is for all seniors who plan to attend a tech school, 2-year or 4-year college after high school graduation. Day 1 of bootcamp is also for anyone who is simply just undecided about their plans at this time. This camp is for all seniors but directed to those who have questions about applying to college and would like one-on-one help from counselors and other admissions professionals. Register for each session/day you would like to attend. Tuesday, August 4: College Boot Camp for Beginners - 9 am - 2 pm Are you a senior and still undecided about what to do after high school? This day is for you! Explore your career interests, learn about training or degrees needed, find the colleges that fit and plan out your timeline for applying. Weather college, tech school, direct to work or Military, we will help you choose your path for the future and get you started with what you need to do this year to get there. Discovery Days Child CareSummer 2026 and School Year 2026-2027 Registration opened for families on February 04, 2026 at 8:30 am. Children must be 3 or 4 by September 1, 2026 to register for Discovery Days. Families who are currently in the Discovery Days program will have priority until February 20 to be confirmed in the program. Families may still register for the CURRENT school year program. Discovery Days offers kindergarten readiness for your child and child care while you work. The program prepares children for kindergarten by incorporating literacy, math, science, social studies, art, social/emotional development, and physical development into its curriculum. Discovery Days is part of our Community Education Child Care program and follows the school-year calendar. Discovery Days is open on most days that school is closed. Children receive breakfast, hot lunch and an afternoon snack each day. Where: Conveniently located at our Early Childhood wing of the District Services Center at 1415 81st Ave in Spring Lake Park. Flexible Scheduling: Three to five days per week, Monday through Friday. Full day and Partial day options are available. Registration Fee: A $25 registration fee is required when your contract is approved and is non-refundable. A non-refundable deposit will be required at registration for new students in the program and may be required for account holders with repetitive late payments. The deposit will be applied to your first week of child care and will be equal to one week of care for the session you are registering for. Driver's education classes will be offered in person at Spring Lake Park High School (SLPHS).
