Young engineers, big ocean adventures! Spend a week exploring the wonders of the shore with hands-on STEM fun—all indoors! Dig for fossils, make squishy sand slime, craft coral reefs, explore tide pools, and uncover hidden ocean treasures. Every activity is playful, hands-on, and full of adventure for young ocean explorers!

Skills Academy attendees will work on individual and team fundamentals of offensive and defensive basketball with the emphasis on having fun and improving as a player. The offensive skills that will be drilled include ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting form, shooting off the pass and the dribble, free throws, one on one moves, post moves, moving without the ball, reading screens, finishing drives and finishing on the fast break. Defensive footwork and positioning also be focused on. Weekly contests and 5 on 5 competition will take place on Thursdays. Staffed by SLPHS basketball coaching staff as well as current and former players.

The Skills Academy will be fast-paced, competitive, instructional, and fun. The staff will consist of coaches on the high school staff as well as current players and alumni. Players will work on offensive and defensive skills, learn concepts that will help them in game situations, improve communication, and boost toughness. They will play 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, 4-on-4, and 5-on-5 as well as run fast-break drills, defensive drills, and play shooting games Gr 7-12 Camp is intended for 7/8 athletes who play traveling or intend on trying out for the HS team. Gr 5-8 Camp is intended for 7/8 athletes who play on a rec team.

From candy chemistry to edible art, every activity uses candy to teach cool scientific concepts. mix, melt, and marvel at how sweets can be both delicious and educational! College Application Bootcamp is for all seniors who plan to attend a tech school, 2-year or 4-year college after high school graduation. Day 1 of bootcamp is also for anyone who is simply just undecided about their plans at this time. This camp is for all seniors but directed to those who have questions about applying to college and would like one-on-one help from counselors and other admissions professionals. Safeway offers teen driver's education in cooperation with Spring Lake Park Schools Community Education. Driver's education classes will be offered in person at Spring Lake Park High School (SLPHS). Teen Package: 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training Classes take place at SLPHS Classes offered each month for 10 consecutive days (Mondays - Thursdays, class does not meet on Fridays) Student must be present for the entire class and attend all 10 classes to get their blue card (allows student to take permit test at a DMV location) Pricing for Teen Package: $415 full price (payment plan available) Payment plan consists of: $235 due when registering for the class through Spring Lake Park Schools Community Education $90 payable at the first behind-the-wheel lesson* $90 payable at the second behind-the-wheel lesson* *Cash or check payable to Safeway Driving School.
