SLPHS and SLP Community Ed are proud to partner in the support of private music lessons. Lessons are $30 per half an hour, offered by the month in a "pack" of lessons payable in one fee. All lessons will be held in the SLPHS Music Suite. Financial support is available for students who qualify for Educational Benefits. Donate a lesson here

Instructor: Alex Lyren 

Alexandra Lyren began her musical journey as a French horn student in the Bemidji School District. She currently serves as a band lesson teacher in the Mounds View Public Schools and has previously taught general music, band, and orchestra in the Roseville Area and Brooklyn Center school districts. Alexandra graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education. She is passionate about fostering lifelong musicianship, community, and belonging through accessible and joyful music-making experiences.

Schedule: Please select which open lesson schedule you would like. If there are conflicts due to illness, other band commitments, etc. please work with Alex Lyren/Ross Wolf on schedule adjustments after registering. Refunds will not be given for missed lessons at this time, so please work with the instructor to reschedule another lesson. Teachers are not obligated to reschedule a lesson that is canceled by the student within a 24-hour window.
