SLPHS and SLP Community Ed are proud to partner in the support of private music lessons. Lessons are $30 per half an hour, offered by the month in a "pack" of lessons payable in one fee. Instructor: Chris Allen is a musician and educator based in White Bear Lake, MN. Primarily playing bass and tenor trombones, but also alto trombone, euphonium, and tuba on occasion. He currently performs regularly with The Paper Clips, Mankato Symphony, Century Jazz Ensemble, and Star of the North Jazz Orchestra.

Chris holds an undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College where he studied with Scott Moore and Larry Zimmerman, and studied at the graduate level at the University of Minnesota with Thomas Ashworth. He has taken additional lessons with Andy Chappell (MN Orch), Douglas Wright (MN Orch), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (Canadian Brass), Michael Levine (Dallas Brass), and Henry Charles Smith III. 

Schedule: Please select which open lesson schedule you would like. If there are conflicts due to illness, other band commitments, etc. please work with Chris Allen/Ross Wolf on schedule adjustments after registering. Refunds will not be given for missed lessons at this time, so please work with the instructor to reschedule another lesson. Teachers are not obligated to reschedule a lesson that is canceled by the student within a 24-hour window.
